Snowshoeing

Are you a little afraid when the going gets too fast? Alternatively, do you want to enjoy the snow after you take off those ski boots, which nearly cut off the circulation in your feet? Maybe you want to try out how to move about in the snowy forest without sinking waist deep into the snow? Here is your chance; the North American Indians used snow shoes for climbing up and down steep hills covered with snow and thick forest. Snowshoes are good for terrain where skis would be tangled up in bushes and speed would be too great for avoiding them. It looks so simple, but even this requires technique and a guide is initially recommended. You easily step with one shoe to the other and make closer acquaintance with the snow than what you initially had in mind.

At Suomu your after ski activity can be a pleasant snowshoe walk in a group to the close by tepee for a cup of coffee and roasting of sausages.
