Suomutunturi is one of the snowiest areas in Finland
Up to tenth of the 400 square kilometres of south-eastern Lapland is covered by lakes and rivers. The region's distinct geographical features create excellent conditions for heavy snowfall.
This is why Suomutunturi is one of the areas with the highest snowfall in Finland. Thanks to favorable natural conditions as well as the latest snowmaking techniques and snow preservation methods, the ski season in Suomu can start as early as the beginning of November.

How to arrive in Suomu?
Suomutunturi is located near the Arctic Circle, in Kemijärvi. You can easily reach us by car or public transport. Take the train to Kemijärvi railway station, which is 44 kilometres from Suomu. From the train station you can get to your destination by bus.
