Suomu's snowmobile trails run through snow-covered forests and across a magnificent mountain landscape. You can rent a snowmobile for a few hours or even for the whole day from our on-site rental shop. You should already know how to drive a snowmobile and ride in the snow before you rent one. To ensure the safety of our customers and equipment, we always make the final rental decision when we meet you on the site.

Snowmobile routes on the map
On the map you can see the snowmobile routes, distances and locations of the campsites in the area around Suomu. You can easily access the trails directly from the hotel. The routes go around Vilmavaara all the way to Joutsijärvi. There are two lean-in shelters along the way, where you can stop for a break to fry a sausage or take a rest for a while. The Suomutunturi snowmobile trails are part of an extensive snowmobile trail network, making it easy to continue to other trails in Kemijärvi. The Suomu snowmobile trails are maintained by the City of Kemijärvi.
